Alan Watts

Life really is really not the avoidance of death, the avoidance of death is death. The constant terror of death, the constant terror of putting it off and the vigilance that one will not die, that is death. What we call life is fundamentally willingness to die. The constant jumping of being into not being. So long as you do that life goes on, so long as you shake the dice the game goes on, so long as you take a chance.
